Registration is now open for the Relational Stewardship online course, jointly offered by the Ecumenical Stewardship Center and transformingthechurch.org. Ms. Sandy Lindahl, commissioned minister for holistic stewardship in the United Church of Christ and Principal and Consultant at Lindahl Consultants, is the instructor. Relational Stewardship includes audio-graphic video lessons that students can view at their convenience and interaction through live conference calls.

Because transformative stewardship includes caring for our personal relationships, the Relational Stewardship course will provide Christian models and practices for healthy relationships of various kinds and their positive outcomes for individuals, congregations and communities. Students will consider a broad range of personal relationships ranging from God and self, family and friends, workplace and worship-place connections, and communal relationships that can bring new purpose and energy to congregations. Topics include racial tensions in communities, economic and class divisions, generational perspectives, emotional connections and trust, personal well-being, and more.

Course materials are available now and participants are encouraged to review them before the first live conference call on May 24, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Central Time. The course will conclude with another live conference call on June 14, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Central Time. Participants will also be enrolled in a virtual course community where ongoing conversation with the instructor and other participants takes place via conversational posts.

Relational Stewardship is part of the Steward Leaders Engaging God’s Mission online course series  offered by the Ecumenical Stewardship Center and TransformingTheChurch.org. Students enrolled in Steward Leaders Engaging God’s Mission courses learn principles and practices relating to stewardship and leadership through studying Scripture, exploring holistic perspectives, critiquing culture, developing healthy relationships, and achieving financial health.

Ms. Sandy Lindahl has been a teacher and coach to non-profit leaders for their capital campaigns, annual giving, planned giving, endowment, and major gifts programs, including giving guidance in creating endowment and gift policies. She has served church and religious organizations, higher education, land conservation, and local non-profits. Sandy is a popular speaker and leader on the spiritual connection with money and possessions and on faith-based fund-raising. With excellent relational skills, she is a sought-after teacher and writer.
