New Navigation Features Added To All Learning Communities

At the top of all of the sidebar navigation regions at the right of the page, you will see a button labeled “My Courses and Private Communities.” This button links to a page that dynamically computes and displays all of the courses and private communities that each user has access to. It is automatically built each time the page is displayed from our user/permissions data base and is custom-built for each user and view.

Major Upgrade To Our Streaming Media Platform

We just completed a major upgrade to our media platform that includes, among other things, support for mobile devices such smartphones and tablets, including Apple iOS and Android devices. Now, all of our high-quality video is available to both desktop and mobile devices.

New Online Learning Course: "Lent: Dying, Rising, and Living Anew"

This course explores the Hebrew Bible lections for Lent in the Revised Common Lectionary, Year C, beginning with the alternate suggested reading for Ash Wednesday (Isaiah 58) and ending with the Fifth Sunday in Lent.

Christian College presents a new six-session online course just in time for Advent; "Advent: Preaching Texts from the Hebrew Bible and Gospels" by Dr. Richard H. Lowery, Ph.D. Participants may join the class from any location with only a web browser and a broadband Internet connection.

“Disciples of Christ: History, Polity and Ethos” is now available online.

Christian College’s online Fall Semester, 2012 is beginning with “Disciples of Christ: History, Polity and Ethos,” a distance education course taught by Reverend Jerry Gladson, Ph.D. available for online registration for students now. Christian College is also offering a free private review of this course for regional staffs of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for the purpose of offering this course to those seeking standing with Regional Commissions on Ministry and in “care and nurture.”

Group Class Beginning August 25th for Congregational Transformation

A structured group course has been organized for members of the Christian Church in the Southwest (CCSW) that will allow clergy and laity from the region to take Dr. Dick Hamm's "Recreating the Church: Leadership for The Post-Modern Age” online together as a group. The group is open to both clergy and laity and all are welcome to register and participate.

Six sessions of fully-interactive online education with Dr. Dick Hamm will begin August 25, 2011 at 8 p.m. CDT. The online class is titled "Recreating the Church: Leadership for The Post-Modern Age” and is based on Dr. Hamm’s book of the same title.
