Happy New Year's - 2016

Our 2016 New Year's Greeting features the New Year's fireworks show from Washington D.C. The fireworks are behind the Lincoln Memorial as seen looking over the Potomac River with the Arlington Memorial Bridge on the right. Our camera position was on the Mount Vernon Trail next to the George Washington Memorial Highway.

Our musical score is from the United States Marine Corps Band play Auld Lang Syne, written in 1788 by Scottish poet Robert Burns it is set to the tune of a traditional folk song. It is most often heard to celebrate the start of the new year at midnight on New Year's Day.
