Reminder: A Conference Call for "Stewardship and Culture" Will Be Tonight at 7:00 pm Central Time
by Bill Anderton

The first live conference call for "Stewardship and Culture" with Betsy Schwarzentraub will be tonight, January 9, 2017. It will start at 7:00 pm Central Time and ends approximately at 8:00 pm.

Please note that these are Central Time Zone times! Please adjust for your local time zone as needed.

Sometime today, please long into the BS-01 Virtual Classroom at https://www.transformingthechurch.org/BS-01_course_home. Please become familiar with the classroom and make your entry into the Class Roster at https://www.transformingthechurch.org/BS-01_class_roster_list.

Also, please post a comment in the "Please Introduce Yourself" thread in the Class Forum to tell us a little something about yourself.

Tonight's Call Instructions

Instructions and the access code for the call can be found in the Virtual Classroom. See the "Live Audio Conference Call" button in the sidebar on the right side of most pages in the Virtual Classroom. The direct link to this page is https://www.transformingthechurch.org/BS-01_audio_conference_calls

However, access is simple.

Dial the Audio Access Telephone Number for the TeleWorship Bridge at 1-(214) 699-5100 (from anywhere.)

You will then hear the prompts of our auto-attendant.

When prompted, please enter your Conference ID and press the # key.

The Conference ID for this call is 2001000 (two, double-zero, one, triple-zero.)

For the first call, I recommend that you dial in early, anytime today, to make sure your telephone can connect to our bridge. Please note that all land-line telephones and almost all cell phones should have no problems at all. However, some VoIP telephone service over-compress the DTMF tones using improper in-band compression that are needed to signal the bridge with your Conference ID and other command signals. The resulting garbled tones may not be recognized by our bridge. If you use one of these VoIP services, a quick test call is recommended. If you call early in the day, nobody will be on the call to conference with, but you will be able to enter the Conference ID and be placed into the bridge. If successful, you will hear a message that says, "The conference will begin when the host arrives." If you hear this message, you are in the bridge and everything is okay with your VoIP service. You can then hang up your test call.

I will open the conference bridge about 20 minutes before the starting time of the class and be there to greet any early arrivals. You're welcome to enter the class early and chat with your classmates until the start of the class. Opening the bridge early gives everybody a chance to get dialed in and settled in before the start of the call.

I will also be online in the Class Forum to respond quickly to any last-minute questions or needs.

Please be on the call before the start of the class so we can start promptly 7:00 pm Central Time.
