Online registration is open for the next five courses of our Winter Term.

These courses are entirely online; no travel is required and all you need to participate is a web browser and a suitable broadband Internet connection. Each class consists of a series of five to seven 30- to 40-minute video-on-demand sessions PLUS an equal number of 60-minute weekly telephone conference calls among each instructor and class participants.

The Calling of Congregational Leadership
This course will focus on a multiple meanings of the vocation of ministry for both clergy and lay leaders. The class will give attention to three aspects of functioning effectively as a congregational leader: the being of the leader, the knowledge base for leading, and the multiple doing tasks required of the leader. Primary emphasis is given to the tasks of dreaming or visioning for a missional congregation, caring for the church and community, organizing for the mission, and resourcing the congregation.

Every Congregation Needs a Little Conflict
This course seeks to help congregational leaders develop the capacity to handle healthy conflict, and to know what to do when the periodic unhealthy conflict occurs.
